Went back to Parentcraft for review today and am so happy that the blocked duct has been clear. Though the areola area is still swollen with bruise but it's still much better than before. Got to keep on massaging the breasts before pumping them and also take good care of the nipple areas too. Catch the opportunity to take a picture when Mrs Wong was carrying Sarah.

It Was Hell

It had been horrible weeks for me since I came back home. Sarah is not napping well. She will wake up after 30-45minutes from her nap and didn't want to go back to sleep again. I will have to sit there, patting her for hours and drag her nap until it's the next feed. It has been a very tiring job. So tired that I wanted to give up. Adding to my misery, I am having blocked duct now. It was at the areola area and very near to the nipple. Part of the nipple was swollen. Whenever Sarah feed on it, I can feel the burning sensation. It was worse than giving birth.

Shannen was also sick and had to stay at home. Imagined that I had to take care both of them...... Loss of words.

Things are getting better now as Sarah can nap longer cos of the help of pacifier. I can organise my time better now. Look forward for better things come ahead. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Blocked Ducts & Inflammation

It's confirmed by the lactation consultant and doctor that I am having blocked ducts(which is at the areola area) and causes inflammation. Went to Parentcraft (@TMC) this morning and was so happy that I was able to meet up with Mrs Wong in person. She is so friendly and kind to approach to. She helped me massage the blocked area and asked the another lactation consultant to help me afterwards cos she was busy for another shooting. Met up with a few mothers who encounter problems with breast feeding too. Wondering how come something natural can be so tough.

After the 2nd round of massage, the lactation consultant had confirmed that I had a inflammation and need to take some antibiotic to clear them before I can proceed for further massage. Meanwhile, I will still latch on Sarah at the affected area, hoping that she can clear the blockage for me and need to go back on Friday for review.

Extra Milk Supply

Finally managed to transport all my breast milk from my mom's place back home via lots of ice-cubes in a huge cooler box. After calculating, then realized that I now have 80 packets of breast milk in the freezer (newly bought just to store all the breast milk). Not forgetting that Shannen already drank 7 packets a week ago. Got to ensure that she still go on well with the breast milk cos I am able to fill up 2 bags each day while she only drinks 1 packet.

38 Months Milestones

Shannen is learning lots of things from us and her temper is getting from bad to worse. Maybe is because I don't have that much time and patience now to talk to her nicely and resulting her bad behaviour. Felt kinda bad. Hopefully when Sarah grow up I will be able to have more time for Shannen.

One more thing, Shannen has been sicking lately. She is always down with cough and flu with an average of 1 month per visit to Dr. Lilian. Think will bring her to see a Chinese physician this weekend. Hopefully her immune system and airways will be better.

2 Months Milestones

Sarah is taking shorter naps now and kept wanting to talk to us more. She is also able to response to us and smile back at us when we did that to her. Overall, she is growing up well and good. Looking forward for a better sleep in the night now.....

Mummy's Birthday

After Sarah's haircut, we went to Emicakes to get a durian birthday cake for mummy and had a mini celebration for her. We Love U, Mummy!
